Radiology Aide

Advocate Medical Group is a physician-led medical group providing primary care, specialty services, medical imaging, outpatient services and community based medical practices throughout the Chicagoland and Bloomington/Normal.

High School graduate
6 months to 1 year experience in health care
Ability to acquire transporting skills within three months
Good communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Medical terminology skills CPR certification within 3 months. Ability to lift and/or move patients
May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases
Ability to perform lifting/transfer activities related to patients. Heavy lifting: Lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week
This position can recognize needs and behaviors of the following age groups: pediatric (newborn, toddler, and school age), adolescent, adult, and older adult.
Evidence of this can be shown by recognizing levels of development and modifying approach and exhibiting communication skills necessary to interpret age specific responses.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.
The purpose of the job is welcome patients to the facility and interact in a customer focused and compassionate manner to ensure patient needs are met. Assist the nursing and technical staff in preparing patients for MRI, CT, PET and any radiological exams.
Assist in preparing patients for radiology exams.
Ensure high quality of customer service for patients, patients families, associates, physicians and other departments.
Provide clerical support.
Provide safe and clean enviroment for patient care, based on patient age and developemental status.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
